Notes:

Make sure you have adequate layers of tape on the area you want to fiberglass to keep the resin from damaging carpet.

This pictorial is missing the fleecing process pics. I did not have a camera handy at this stage. The fleece is used on the front to get the contoured shape. Stretch the fleece over the entire front and let it overlap the inside half of the mold about 2-3 inches. The fleece is then soaked with resin and let cure. After that, fiberglass mat is applied to choosen thickness.

The average thickness is about 6-8 layers of mat to give a total thickness of 1/4" or so.

The MDF ring is suspended by dowel rods and hot glued into position.

Use a respirator when working with fiberglass/resin

Use heavy duty rubber gloves. The thin ones tend to rip once you start working.

Heat lamps come in handy to accelerate resin curing.
